DUBAI:  Global Advocates, one of the leading regional law firms in the Middle East, with offices in the UAE, Oman, and Jordan, has recently appointed Murad Abida as its Regional Co-Managing Partner. Murad was earlier associated with the firm as a Partner and a Regional Head of Corporate and Commercial as well as the Head of the firm’s Jordan Office.

Global Advocates has advised on some of the region’s most complex legal cases and projects including, the NMC group financial restructuring, the Arabtec insolvency, drafting important laws and legislations, and a plethora of other interesting legal projects within the SME sector.

Murad has over 25 years of experience, in multiple practice areas of the law, including corporate advisory, corporate finance, M&A, private equity restructuring and insolvency, banking and finance, and tax. Before joining Global, Murad held various other positions during his 20 years in Dubai including Head of Corporate Group at one of the leading UAE law firms, as well as the Regional Head of Corporate for the Middle East at a leading international law firm. With both legal and accounting qualifications (American Certified Public Accounting Examination - CPA), Murad serves his clients with an excellent combination of legal expertise coupled with business acumen and financial analysis capabilities.
