Dubai: Tradeling, the hyper-growing eMarketplace focused on business-to-business (B2B) transactions in the Middle East and North Africa region, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ProChile to enable and encourage Chilean brands and retailers to export to the MENA region by listing and trading their products on the Tradeling.com e-commerce platform.

The official signing of the agreement took place on September 28 in the United Arab Emirates, where Marius Ciavola, CEO of Tradeling, Jorge O’Ryan, General Director of ProChile and Jorge Daccarett, Chile Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain & Qatar | and Commissioner General to Expo Dubai participated.

The collaboration will facilitate the introduction of Chilean brands, including ProChile clients, to the MENA region market. Similarly, ProChile will provide Tradeling with links to Chilean trade associations and business groups and will include Tradeling in each Chilean delegation to the United Arab Emirates to explore business opportunities.

As part of the MoU, the first three transactions will be free of any commission charges for ProChile clients selling their products on Tradeling. In addition, Tradeling will create a dedicated landing page on tradeling.com for ProChile members to give them access to the dynamic MENA market.

The non-oil trade exchange between the UAE and Chile has significantly increased in recent years, increasing 21 per cent between 2018 and 2019 from US$271.2 million to $329.2 million. During the same period, UAE exports to Chile grew by 65 percent from $17.9 million to $29.5 million.[1]
