The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) today raised the UAE flag high at its headquarters, in celebration of the UAE Flag Day, which coincides with the accession of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to presidency. The UAE flag was raised in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Mahmoud Fikri, Director General of SCAD, and SCAD employees.
His Excellency Ahmed Mahmoud Fikri said: “Our celebration this year coincides with the 50th founding anniversary of the UAE. We have just raised the flag of our beloved country high at a historic time that will only be repeated after 50 years, when future generations celebrate the UAE Centennial.”
His Excellency added: “We will proud and honoured to continue working to attain further achievements and successes required for the next 50 years, to hand them over to our generations to come.”
His Excellency reaffirmed: “At the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi, we will redouble our efforts to bolster the statistical work system, to be a tool that contributes to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position on the global map. May God Almighty protect our country and wise leadership and perpetuate our beloved nation’s prosperity.”
