Abu Dhabi: The Department of Transport (DoT) represented by the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) in Abu Dhabi announced the launching of an online service that allows users to recharge Hafilat Cards on DoT’s website www.dot.abudhabi.ae and Darb application and website www.darb.ae .This comes in part of its endeavor to facilitate the use of the public transport services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The aim of this initiative is to digitalize DoT’s services and provide the public transport users with services that are easy and accessible to everyone. This initiative follows the unifying of Hafilat Cards that DoT announced earlier.
To recharge Hafilat Cards, users should enter the serial number printed at the bottom of the card, specify the desired amount and recharge the card by credit card. Additionally, users can pay online for violation tickets fees registered on the bus. First, user should enter the serial number printed at the violation ticket and then pay with credit card.
Users can buy Hafilat Cards from Ticket Sale Offices or Ticket Vending Machines that are available among the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
ITC stated that improving the public transport services is part of DoT’s endeavor to offer a secured transport network that encourages the use of sustainable means of transport.
