As a first of its kind in the region, this internationally accredited and certified program will help mid-level and management healthcare professionals develop their skills and encourage them to become proactive contributors to the UAE's Vision 2021 aiming to enhance the country's healthcare sector as a whole
Abu Dhabi: Emirates Classification Society “TASNEEF” was chosen to be the partner of the International Hospital Federation IHF to offer the Healthcare Leadership and Management Program for the Middle East. The partnership agreement was signed by Eng. Rashed Al Hebsi, the CEO of TASNEEF and Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, IHF Special Advisor for the Middle East, and was attended by Dr. Khaled Al Jaberi, Director of Health Regulation Division, Health Authority Abu Dhabi and Mr. Khalfan Al Saadi, General Manager at TASNEEF Business Assurance. The internationally accredited and certified twelve-month program will be held at TASNEEF HQ in Abu Dhabi starting from 12th March 2017 and will be reoccurring to serve the healthcare professionals in the Middle-East.
Designed to enrich them with knowledge and management skills, the new program aims to help healthcare professionals raise their confidence and thus improve the performance of their organizations by increasing their competence as leaders. The program will be accepting 30 mid-level or management candidates from various domains including but not limited to healthcare management, education, finance, logistics, research and development and quality and assurance within one year.
Eng. Rashed Alhebsi, CEO of TASNEEF emphasized "We are proud to be proactive contributor to the UAE goals in the healthcare sector. This initiative comes as an extension of our agreement with the Healthcare Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD) to provide the healthcare sector with an improved standard in the quality management, safety, environment protection which shall increase the competitiveness of our local healthcare providers to the international level"
Mr. Khalfan AlSaadi, General Manager of TASNEEF Business Assurance added, “We want to inspire tomorrow’s leaders achieve excellence in their field. Our goals for this program are to not only provide the participants with the core tools they need for leadership roles but to also allow them to understand how their individual personalities shape their roles as managers, learn how to respond to complex and multifactor challenges, nourish their curiosity, and encourage creative thinking. Everything they can achieve through this course will ultimately help the UAE’s health sector gain recognition for its excellence and optimal performance.”

The learning program is an outstanding opportunity for all healthcare professionals to acquire basic and advanced competencies for the effective operation of any health facility. The aim of this program is to provide health professionals, who work in a position where management skills are required, with the latest techniques to acquire and strengthen their knowledge and skills and have a full ability to fulfill their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.”
Upon completion, participants' skills will be converted from medical capabilities of taking care of patients to become a healthcare leader. Leaders who understands the actual needs of hospital management, leading people, setting of strategies, applying international corporate practices, driving organizational capability growth while maintaining financial sustainability and global competitiveness. They will be certified as "Healthcare Leaders" by the "International Hospital Federation" a NGO based in Geneva, Switzerland. In addition, the top three papers will be selected for special recognition and potential participation at the international world hospital Congress
