KUWAIT – Li3ib, a young and dynamic Kuwaiti sports startup platform formally announces its recent successful acquisition by Pro-Vision, one of the leading companies in the region which specializes in the management and consultancy of sports events.

Li3ib, an online-based sports facility and events management company, was launched to the public in 2017 by Khaled Al-Amiri and Khaled Abdulqader, with the mission to facilitate easier and swifter booking of sports venues by the general public in the country. This acquisition, which is between two prominent local entities, comes as a step to fortify the sports industry in Kuwait while providing unparalleled services under the umbrella of events and facility management and scheduling, which cater to the growing needs of the market, sports-oriented clientele, including individual customers, public and private sectors as well.

Ahmed AlMajed, CEO of Pro-Vision, commented: “We are proud to have acquired Li3ib platform under our portfolio. As business expands, it’s essential to partner with the right team and we have seen the caliber of work Li3ib demonstrated since its launch in Kuwait. We look forward to continue building a strong presence in Kuwait and the region, and with the support of the Li3ib team.”

Khaled Al-Amiri, Co-Founder & CEO of Li3ib, added: “We are as equally proud to have been acquired by one of the leading companies in the sports management arena in the region, who shares our passion in providing exceptional sports events management services, which in turn will encourage the community members to engage in the various sports activities as the process is facilitated to them.

Li3ib was founded three years ago to bring a solution to an area that was lacking in the sports industry in Kuwait which is instant and unlimited access to sports venues in the country, by anyone and everyone. We have broadened our scope since and ventured into sports events management as well. We are always eager to seek opportunities where business growth is a potential, and we have seen a potential with our partnership with Pro-Vision and had started our negotiations earlier this year. Even during the uncertain times the coronavirus pandemic presented to all businesses, and ours as no exception, we believed in pursuing this opportunity and we are certain that with doubling our efforts and goals with Pro-Vision, we will become one of the largest players in the sports management industry.”

As a result of this acquisition, Li3ib will continue to evolve into a fully-fledged sports facility management company, with capabilities of managing any facility size beyond systematic scheduling services only as it tabs into the decade worth of expertise established by Pro-Vision. The Li3ib team and management will now be dedicated to handling all of Pro-Vision’s facilities, which will be accessible to interested customers through the Li3ib app and website. Additionally, the various tournaments and sports events managed by Li3ib will now fall under the meticulous supervision and execution of the Pro-Vison team as well.

The acquisition processing has gone into effect, and Li3ib customers can still continue with accessing both the app and the website, under the same name, to confirm their venue bookings as required in addition to the new facility management services which will be made available soon. Customers with current and scheduled events and tournaments will be contacted to ensure all their requests are handled thoroughly by the designated team, through Pro-Vision.
