TRANSFORMENA, a Siemens event in partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, will be held virtually over two days starting April 21, 2021. The conference draws on the combined experience of Siemens, its customers and partners in the Middle East, and government officials to explore how technology is transforming industry, infrastructure and transportation in the region.
Confirmed speakers include H.E. Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation in the United Arab Emirates and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai; H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation; Dr. Roland Busch, the President and CEO of Siemens AG; and Matthias Rebellius, Member of the Board Member and the CEO of Smart Infrastructure, Siemens.
Other participants represent leading companies and iconic projects in the region, such as NEOM, Obeikan Investment Group, Almarai, Ooredoo, ADNOC, Dubai Holding, and Expo 2020 Dubai.
“Over the past year or so, it has become even more apparent that digitalization is accelerating in industry, infrastructure and transportation, transforming the backbone of economies in the Middle East and around the world,” said Helmut von Struve, the CEO of Siemens in the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates. “We look forward to discussing with our partners and customers how technology can help solve their most pressing problems, improve our lives and protect the environment.”
In May, Siemens engineers and executives will host a seminar for university students in the region. ‘Level-Up with Siemens’ will provide lessons about the latest technologies, via a series of lectures on smart grids, electrical design, industrial automation, as well as sessions on sales and tendering.
