NO-NOISTM technology delivers compact laser devices for customer convenience

UAE, Dubai - March 28th, 2007 - At the CeBIT 2007 in Hanover, Germany, Samsung Electronics introduced its ultimate printing solutions, including its proprietary low-noise colour-laser engine, improved print-quality, and enhanced networking access, to consumers from around the world. These innovative technologies were on the list of must-see events for all CeBIT visitors.

At this global event, Samsung demonstrated its two unique technologies:

NO-NOISTM (Non Orbiting Noiseless Optic Imaging System) which is Samsung's unique low-noise color-laser engine technology, and ReCPTM (Rendering engine for Clean Page), an all-new image-enhancement process.

NO-NOISTM features a fixed imaging unit that reduces vibration and noise level to 48 dB, which assures the quietest operation when compared to alternative multi-pass engine technology. Also, this technology is the driving force behind Samsung's continuous development of the world's most compact colour-laser printers/MFPs using all-in-one units with multi-cam driver and separate CMYK toner bottle system.

As for ReCPTM, this technology automatically cleans up unnecessary background colours, thereby rendering images and texts with greater clarity, while minimizing the use of colour toners, which can result in considerable cost-savings.

Samsung Electronics also revealed the latest technologies that help to optimize user convenience. This includes printers with the world's first-ever wireless USB access, which makes it possible to print without connecting cables. Also, the "ID Copy Button" incorporated into Laser MFPs allows you to quickly print both sides of an ID badge on a single page, without any paper handling.

In addition, Samsung Electronics introduced DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) technology that reflects the growing trend of convergence in digital products, and Seamless Computing, which enables access to and use of data, at anytime and from anywhere. Of note, DLNA applications allow the sharing of digital content among various PCs or digital home network appliances, as well as printing without the need to install a separate printer driver, and remote operation of printers via wireless networks from your PC, notebook, camcorder, or camera.

Samsung Electronics confirmed the superiority of its cutting-edge printing technology with the display of these state-of-the-art solutions at CeBIT 2007, and thus vault its products to the forefront of the global printer market. "Samsung Electronics has put forth its utmost efforts to develop a variety of cutting-edge print solutions by leveraging its years of expertise as a world-class maker of electronic products, semiconductors, and communication devices, while investing some 8% to 9% of annual sales for its R&D activities," emphasized Vice President Jangjae Lee of Samsung's Strategic Marketing Teams. "Based on such leading technology, we will concentrate our efforts on developing a variety of optimal solutions to satisfy varying customer demands and changing markets conditions," he added.
