Kuwait,  - Royale Hayat Hospital introduced Panorama Screening, the latest non-invasive test for fetal chromosomal abnormalities, from Natera, a leading American prenatal testing company, in a seminar on Thursday April 9, 2015 at Al Jouri Hall.

Dr. Abudaker Elmardi, Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Royale Hayat Hospital and Dr. Mohammad Habeeb Jragh, Lab Director and Consultant Pathologist at Royale Hayat Hospital (CAP accredited hospital) discussed how Panorama could distinguish between fetal and maternal DNA in the mother's blood to give vital information about the fetus. It also delivers the most accurate results of any screening test, as early as 9 weeks of gestation to help manage pregnancy. Natera's Panorama test can detect trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome), sex chromosome abnormalities like monosomy X (Turner's syndrome) and baby gender.

Panorama Screening is now available at Royale Hayat Hospital to provide a safe and accurate report about a woman's pregnancy.
