Dubai, United Arab Emirates: With the Dubai Shopping Festival having announced a welcome extension and the major long-term impetus that will be provided by Expo 2020, smart retailers like Titan Watches are capitalizing on this perfect window of opportunity.
The world’s fifth largest watchmaker is expanding its footprint in the UAE with 10 exclusive Titan retail outlets across UAE before the end of the year. These outlets will be owned and operated by Titan’s subsidiary company based in Dubai – Titan Global Retail LLC (TGRL).
According to Aditya Kejriwal, Business Head – Watches & Accessories, International Business Division Titan Company Limited, the increased focus on this key market will enable the brand to grow at a CAGR of 35 percent from now until 2023 by which time there will be at least 30 exclusive Titan retail outlets across the UAE.
The brand recently showcased their product innovation with the launch of 3 distinct collections in the UAE including Sparkle II, an exclusive line of women’s fashion watches. Featuring elegant leather and mesh straps, Swarovski crystals and sparkling pink, metallic and blush color palettes, the collection was designed after an extensive and in-depth interaction with potential customers across all nationalities in the UAE. A special focus on expat Arabs and Emiratis was an added dimension.
This collection was a resounding success, and two new complementing lines are already in the pipeline thanks to the overwhelming demand. Kejriwal speculates that in the next three years Titan aims to have over 50 percent of their offering inspired by and made exclusively for the region.
“We have been selling watches in the GCC and the UAE for more than 25 years and thanks to our timeless craftsmanship and expert designs, we have been the preferred choice for 2 million customers and counting. As a leading brand that has appropriated differentiated design stories, and a wide offering, Titan is always looking ahead,” he said.
“At Titan, consumers are at the heart of every initiative. We are very excited to launch collections based on in-depth consumer understanding and we would continue to innovate in this area and introduce collections more frequently to target the UAE consumer” added Vandana Bhalla, Marketing Head – International Business Division, Titan Company Ltd.
Thanks to the recent upgrade of the brand’s online platform titanworld.ae, customers in the UAE will soon be able to enjoy a seamless omni-channel shopping experience that blends Titan’s digital presence and its physical stores. Titan has also recently opened its first international jewellery store in Meena Bazaar, Dubai and introduced its renowned loyalty programme “Encircle” in the region. This will allow customers to earn points and enjoy privileges across all of Titan’s lifestyle brands increasing the loyalty factor amongst millennials.
