Doha, Qatar: – Under a strategic partnership between two of Qatar’s and the United Kingdom’s leading educational institutions, the Qatar Finance Business Academy (QFBA) and Northumbria University, aimed at upskilling and expanding the financial and finance-related academic acumen of high school students and in-market professionals in Qatar, the QFBA Northumbria University recently held a knowledge exchange session at Qatar’s National Service Academy.
QFBA Northumbria University representatives visited the national academy’s graduates and recruits for an open educational and introductory session on their academic program’s objectives, learning curriculum, and future ambitions. Focally, the session also introduced the academy’s talents to program components of their professional interests, application processes, and admission prerequisites and qualifications.
Commenting on the partnership’s initiative to extend its network to local private and public sector entities, Khalifa Al Yafei, QFBA Northumbria’s director of academic affairs and operations, said:
“We are delighted to have been presented with the opportunity to connect with the National Service Academy graduates and young talents and take them through the application requirements and qualifications for the University of Northumbria in Qatar. This visit is one of many that fall under our ongoing efforts to educate and inform Qatari youth on the wide array of higher education opportunities offered by Qatar Finance and Business Academy, through its power partnership with Northumbria University.”
As it eyes a nationwide rollout of its joint academic program across governmental and non-governmental entities, and across industries, this visit marks one of many of QFBA Northumbria’s efforts to branch out of the financial sector professional and academic network, and into the wider Qatari youth talent pool.
The QFBA Northumbria University will be soon celebrating the graduation of its first cohort, in a ceremony to be held on July 2nd, where 23 students will be obtaining their BA (HONS) degrees in International Banking and Finance.
