Doha – Visitors have come out in droves over the last two days to be part of Qatar’s biggest exhibition for construction and related industries and to tap into the opportunities in Qatar’s fast growing construction market.

Project Qatar 2019, which runs until tomorrow (Wednesday, May 1) at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre (DECC), is seeing Qatar’s construction industry, including local and global companies, come out in full force. The event presents major business opportunities for all participants.

Representing 33 countries, the more than 500 exhibitors includes 342 international participants. Among the top 10 participating countries are Qatar – with 161 exhibitors, China, Turkey, Kuwait, Italy, Algeria and Germany. The top exhibiting profiles include building materials, steel products, construction systems and technology, engineering and design services, and green building buildings. The exhibition also sees the return of Heavy Max 2019 - the 16th International Exhibition for Heavy Machinery, and Qatar Stone Tech 2019 - the 7th International Stone and Stone Technology Show and Qatar’s only exhibition dedicated to the stone industry.

Several VIP dignitaries have visited Project Qatar and toured the exhibition including the 15 official national pavilions.

The second day of the Project Qatar conference focused on Iconic Real Estate Developments towards 2022 FIFA World Cup. The sessions highlighted opportunities for construction companies in advance of 2022. Among the key ongoing projects highlighted were the Museum of Islamic Art, the 2022 FIFA World Cup projects, and the National Museum of Qatar.
