Muscat, Oman: Ooredoo’s license to provide mobile and fixed telecoms services has been renewed through a Royal Decree following approval from Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). Secured on favourable terms, the license, which sets the legal framework for Ooredoo’s activities in the Sultanate, reinforces the company’s position as a data experience leaders and adds impetus to its drive to pioneer Oman’s evolving telecoms industry.
Ian Dench, CEO of Ooredoo said: “We’re delighted to have our mobile license renewed, which is the result of much work and negotiation that takes place behind the scenes. Our thanks go to the Ministry of Technology and Communications, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Finance for their support and input.
