The MoU brings together prominent facilities management companies in the field to improve best practices

Dubai - The Middle East Facility Management Association (MEFMA), Apleona HSG and SANED signed recently a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to join MEFMA as a founding and corporate member, at the MEFMA Confex 2017, an event held at The Address Hotel Marina Dubai.

Apleona HSG licensed in Dubai and SANED licensed as Apleona SAM in Sharjah are tasked to provide integrated facilities management services across the UAE. The Memorandum of Understanding brings together these two prominent facilities management companies in the field and attempts to improve the quality of service provided in the industry through knowledge and personnel sharing. The MoU also states that the objectives, vision and mission of each company should be advanced through the collaboration.

Ihab Assi, Country Director of Apleona HSG and CEO of SANED comments: “The new Memorandum of Understanding marks an important step forward in our ongoing collaboration with the Middle East Facility Management Association. MEFMA is proudly supported by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) and is renowned for providing a dedicated platform for facilities management professionals, wider construction industry stakeholders and owner associations. MEFMA consistently works with industry professionals to implement long-term sustainable development strategies for design, building, commissioning, handover, operation, maintenance and lifecycle. Its key objective is to deliver excellent customer service and asset protection to ensure return on investments.

The joint venture Apleona SAM (SANED) between the German based Apleona HSG and Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, provides numerous related technical services for clients, including energy management strategies and sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing energy and water consumption. This is apart from the Total Facilities Management services for which SANED is renowned. SANED has recently launched its soft services department by delivering Cleaning and Security services through in-house staff. The company also assists entities from the public and private sectors with energy efficiency programs and applications, introducing new power systems and water technologies, and moves them towards applying world-class green building concepts and principles, thus protecting the environment and benefiting the clients in the long term.
