The Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC) and GE Aviation have signed a Teaming Agreement to establish T700-701A, T700-701C, and T700-701D engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Under this Agreement, MEPC, with the assistance of GE Aviation will develop a T700 depot level maintenance facility in KSA. MEPC will utilize its new in-house piece part repair capability to establish a comprehensive “one stop support shop”.
MEPC will be the first depot level supplier of MRO services in support of T700 engines in KSA.
This is another exciting MEPC milestone in cooperation with GE Aviation to meet KSA’s 2030 Vision and the “in Kingdom” self-dependency for KSA’s Military Aerospace requirements.
Today, the T700 family of turboshaft and turboprop engines power 15 types of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft with more than 130 customers in more than 50 countries. In 2015, the T700/CT7 family surpassed 20,000 units delivered and more than 100 million total flight hours.
