Dubai, United Arab Emirates :– Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG), a global technology leader in driving digital transformation today announced its participation in the 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week at Dubai World Trade Centre. Lenovo DCG’s continuous participation in the region’s most impactful technology event comes with a larger presence than ever before, reaffirming its commitment to the region and its local customers.
In line with the company’s ‘Smarter Technology for All’ strategy, a series of new solutions were showcased during the week, which represent a number of verticals that Lenovo DCG is spearheading in the market. These solutions respond to the current and unprecedented appetite for new-age technologies that meet the demands of customers and harness the potential of data, cloud computing and machine learning.
Dr Chris Cooper, Managing Director, Middle East, Africa & Turkey, Lenovo DCG, commented: “IT spending is on the rise and businesses in the region are heavily investing in Data Centre innovation to support increasing workloads and manage large data sets. With our innovative High-Performance Computing solutions and unique business perspective on how to build end-to-end solutions with smart features, our products are truly transforming the market. We are here to serve businesses and support their growth as we venture into new age of digital transformation.
“We are very pleased to be present at GITEX for the fourth consecutive year to showcase what we have been working on and what we are working towards. Our solutions are strongly in line with our mission to further the digital transformation taking place in the Middle East.” He continued.
The solutions on display this year include the latest innovations in blockchain and AI in the data centre, Software Defined Data Centre solutions, Data Analytics, Edge and IoT computing and many more. Visitors to Lenovo DCG’s stand at GITEX will be able to immerse themselves in the innovations on display through respective experiential zones on the stand. The ThinkSystem storage solution, which is an all-flash and hybrid storage solution that accelerates access to data while empowering you to scale seamlessly from data center to cloud, will also be on display.
This year Lenovo DCG will also, for the first time, be showcasing their Lenovo Financial Services solutions. Lenovo Financial Services provides a range of commercial payment solutions for the sale, procurement and consumption of any IT-related products and services. This service was launched in order to help increase efficiency of acquisition, deployment, refresh and disposal of IT-related products designed to protect the regions environment. With Lenovo Financial Services, Lenovo DCG makes investments in technology more accessible and greener too.
John Knibbs, Managing Director of Lenovo Financial Services ‘META’, said, “These days, investing in technology is changing as many organizations move towards an “as a service” economy. Consumption based Op Ex models represent a new approach for end users while the channel requires flexible payment solutions that enable sales and facilitates IT investment for their customers.
At Lenovo Financial Services we do just that, by providing a range of commercial payment solutions for the sale, procurement and consumption of any OEM IT related products and services. We are proud to support the UAE government who are leading the way with initiatives to reduce regional electronic waste, support the circular economy and dispose of IT products to the highest environmental standards possible via our market leading ‘Re-CycleIT’ and ‘RecoverIT’ offerings.” He continued.
Lenovo DCG was also recognized as the Storage vendor of the year and the ‘Editor’s Choice’ Enterprise Vendor of the year yesterday evening at the Tahawul Tech Awards. The award ceremony took place on Sunday evening at a black-tie Future Enterprise Awards Gala Dinner at Emirates Towers, Dubai. Richard Wilcox, Regional Director, Lenovo DCG, said: “Taking part in the Tahawul Tech awards alongside our participation at GITEX Technology Week 2019 this year has provided us with fruitful opportunities to expand our networks and showcase our innovative offerings in the UAE and beyond. We are truly pleased to be recognized in the industry as innovators who continue to push the envelope for providing smarter technology for our partners, customers and for all.”
