Kuwait - 15 February 2016: The Food Capital of the World is an initiative launched and supported by a group of Kuwaiti diligent entrepreneurs. With an intent to inaugurate Kuwait as "The Food Capital of the World in 2030". The idea emerged when the entrepreneurs sensed and witnessed an incredible potential in the field of foodstuff business in Kuwait.  Where all visitors and tourists cannot seem to miss the opportunity to praise the superb food experience in Kuwait. Along with the high quality ingredients and products used within the foodstuff businesses in Kuwait.

It's noteworthy that major part of the home based businesses in Kuwait work within the foodstuff industry as well. Furthermore, the local concepts and local chefs in Kuwait have proved an excellent levels of success by an extraordinary performances with great base of loyal customers. All these elements arouse the idea of exhibiting Kuwait as the future Food Capital of the World.

In this regard, Chef Adlah AL-Sharhan stated: "Local foodstuff concepts are brilliant. We would like for the whole world to be able to see and tryout these concepts. This is the least we can do to honor the inimitable minds behind the bright foodstuff concepts here in Kuwait. We pledge to utilize our enthusiasm and knowledge to highlight the local foodstuff concepts through attaining Kuwait as "The Food Capital of the World in 2030".

In his part, Basil Al-Salem, A Restaurateur & the owner of a group of leading restaurants in the GCC and a supporter of the initiative, noted: "The key to success is knowing your points of strengths; and that is what we are trying is emphasize. We have enormous capabilities here in Kuwait when it comes to foodstuff businesses. Our goal is to inaugurate Kuwait as the Food Capital of the World, not only because it has the potential of becoming the Food Capital of the World. But, for we also believe that this inauguration will open other positive doors for us. In which it can allocate Kuwait on the touristic map for all gastronomes to come and enjoy one of a kind, exquisite food experience here in Kuwait."

Mohammed Jaffar, The former CEO of Talabat.com and a supporter of the initiative, stated: "Local foodstuff Kuwaiti concepts, are ingenious and original, and that's what makes them very unique and experience-worthy. We aim to shed the light on these Kuwaiti concepts and encourage the consultancies and expertise to support the creation and the development of the infrastructure of the Food Capital. In order for tourists to visit Kuwait, experience, rejuvenate, and embolden the Kuwaiti foodstuff concepts."

Rakan Al-Fadalah, The Co-founder of Chocolateness, then concluded: "We are determined through this initiative to invest in the local talents and chefs, to create awareness about culinary schools benefits for investors and the community as a whole. As well as, to motivate the current successful local foodstuff concepts to attain their aspiration. We believe that this initiative is very convenient and will assist us in reaching out to the intended goals and ambitions."
