Dubai, UAE:– McDonald’s UAE has launched its McDonald’s Rewards program which allows customers to collect points every time they purchase their favourite meals. These points will enable fans to redeem a host of exciting rewards items.

Those who already have the McDonald’s App will get automatically enrolled in the program while new users, simply need to download and sign up through the McDonald’s App. Before completing a purchase at the restaurant front counter, Self-Ordering Kiosk or at the Drive-Thru, customers need to access the QR code that can be found on the McDonald’s Rewards page and scan it to activate the program and start collecting points.

Customers will receive 10 McDonald’s Rewards points for every AED 1 spent. Accumulating points will enable customers to redeem rewards items that are listed on the McDonald’s App. To celebrate the launch, McDonald’s UAE is giving 100 bonus points on the first purchase scan.

“We’re thrilled about the McDonald’s Rewards program in the UAE. We know that we have a huge fan base here and we wanted to do something to celebrate our customers and say thank you for their support over the years. The McDonald’s Rewards program is designed to give them more of what they love, whether it’s an extra side of Chicken McNuggets or a dessert to satisfy their everyday cravings,” said Walid Fakih, General Manager at McDonald’s UAE.

“The McDonald’s App is continuously evolving, which in turn allows us to strengthen our customer-centric mind-set. We believe understanding customer needs is essential, and the App has allowed us to make great strides in this space by providing multiple ordering options from McDelivery to the Pick-Up Service. Now, the new McDonald’s Rewards program is helping us elevate this offering further and we’re excited for everyone to enjoy this experience,” added Fakih.

The new McDonald’s Rewards program is currently live and exclusively available on the McDonald’s App.

About McDonald’s UAE:

Operating since 1994, McDonald's UAE today has more than 180 restaurants across the country. We are committed to the quality of the products we serve to our customers and maintain an active social responsibility agenda.

In an ongoing effort to improve communities and highlight the environmental benefits ‘of our actions, we have significantly reduced our carbon footprint since the launch of our biodiesel initiative in July 2011. 100% of McDonald’s used vegetable oil is collected from our outlets across the UAE and converted into 100% biodiesel, which is used to fuel the company’s logistics fleet.

In addition, we pride ourselves on being a local member of the community. In 2018, we signed a Cooperation Agreement with Emirates Red Crescent, to consolidate efforts and support their charitable and humanitarian initiatives.

In 2015, we launched the ‘Planting a Greener Future’ campaign with Emirates Environmental Group. As part of the initiative, to date, students from 18 schools across the UAE planted 960 indigenous trees covering a total area of 9,000 sq-m. Since its launch, the ‘Planting a Greener Future’ campaign has reduced CO2 levels by 5.68 metric tons. The initiative is now in its 3rd phase and aims to raise awareness amongst the student community about the importance of the environment and actively encourage them to take ownership of its preservation.
