Huawei Technologies Egypt, the leading global ICT solution provider, held a roundtable to discuss the global paradigm shift in digital transformation, to create sustainable growth, and support the Egyptian government efforts towards achieving that shift in different sectors such as; education, health, transportation, real estate, infrastructure, energy, and financial sector in line with Egypt’s 2030 vision. The roundtable was attended by Michael Li, President of Huawei Northern Africa Enterprise Business Group, together with Medhat Mahmoud, Senior Solution Director at Huawei Northern Africa Enterprise business group.
Huawei Technologies team led the roundtable and discussed the profound technological transformation that is currently sweeping the world and impacting work and lives more than anything. More and more businesses are incorporating connectivity, cloud, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to boost efficiency and competitiveness. These developments reflect Huawei’s most creative and futuristic thinking in today's marketplace.

Huawei is a pioneer in helping customers implement the digital transformation in different sectors. For instance, Shenzhen, one the largest cities in China built a smart city in cooperation with Huawei and its partners, in 2020, they announced their plan to further promote scientific, refined, user-friendly, and quality urban governance. Shenzhen achieved technological enablement, digital transformation, and cloud-based action through smart city construction, accelerating iterative upgrade of the electronic information industry, and continuously improving city governance and government service capabilities. Shenzhen also fully applied smart city solutions in the epidemic prevention and control, adhered to technologies to fight epidemics and smart prevention and control, as well as widely applied new technologies and methods such as 5G telemedicine, significantly improving the effectiveness of epidemic prevention and control.
To elaborate, the smart city solutions, in Rehab and Madinaty, by Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), Huawei provides basic ICT services for 90,000 households. Huawei and partners jointly built a unified intelligent management platform that integrates intelligent such as, license plate recognition and smart lighting. These solutions greatly improve travel safety and convenience, hence, elevate the residents' satisfaction and sense of security levels.
Not only this, Huawei is also working in the education sector. Huawei helps University of Canada in Egypt build an all-optical smart campus to adapt to the information-based teaching transformation, and enable teachers and students to use various online educational applications anytime and anywhere. In addition providing stable support for campus network operation and excellent user experience.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei was founded more than 30 years ago, have been promoting digital transformation of governments and enterprises, and enabling people to enjoy digital services.
