Doha:HEC Paris, one of the world’s leading providers of Executive Education, is once again delivering the highly successful ‘IT Talent’ and ‘CTO Training’ programs on behalf of the Ministry of Transport & Communications (MOTC), as part of the Ministry’s Qatar Digital Government Training initiative.
In its continued strides to transform Qatar into a knowledge-based economy, this association of HEC Paris with the Qatar Digital Government Training Program will prove to be a stepping-stone to achieve their unified vision. The ‘IT’ Training program, which began in November 2018 and runs through to May 2019, covers five different learning modules and a group project activity, which allows the participants to address important issues.
The ‘IT Talent’ Program is specifically focused on developing emerging talent and aims to provide an intensive and immersive learning experience. The coherence of the program has been assured bythe Dean and CEO of HEC Paris in Qatar, Dr. Nils Plambeck, who has selected the faculty to have a combination of innovative learning and practitioner experience.
The CTO Training Program will be held from February 2019 to November 2019. The program aims to refresh and stimulate IT Director’s and CTO’s thinking by blending their experience with HEC Paris faculty’s expertise and knowledge of best practices. The program, which consists of six modules and concludes with a case study group project, will follow a carefully thought-out learning progression. The CTO Training Program aims to provide an intensive and immersive learning experience for the CTOs and to develop the senior leaders’ strategic level of acumen and execution, beyond operational aspects. Case studies, lectures, teamwork and simulations will form a crucial part of the program.
Dr. Plambeck said:
”Our association with the Qatar’s Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) goes a long way and together we have delivered various innovative programs, intended to benefit the growing Qatari economy. We are delighted that MoTC has once again demonstrated confidence and trust in the world-class development we offer as one of the world's leading business schools. Together we aim to boost government ICT professional capacity, which will serve the transformation and meet the needs of Digital Government in Qatar”.
