Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in line with its commitment to invest in Bahraini workforce has appointed two Bahrainis in executive and management roles: Mr. Adnan Hashim as Chief Financial Officer and Mr. Jamal AlKuwaiti as Director Human Resources.
Mr. Adnan Hashim brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), and prior to that, he held the same role at NCB Capital, the region’s leading investment firm and Saudi Arabia’s largest asset manager. He sat on numerous boards, executive committees, audit committees and compensation and governance committees of various financial institutions and has served as the Chairman of ACCA Members’ Advisory Committee, Bahrain. Holder of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, Mr. Hashim is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
Mr. Jamal AlKuwaiti has more than two decades of working experience, of which 15 years were concentrated in human resources management field. He brings to Gulf Air diverse professional human resources experience from government, semi government and private sector which includes Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA) and Azadea retail group. This exposure has enriched his expertise in organisational development, performance and talent management as well as culture transformation. Mr. AlKuwaiti is a holder of a Master Degree in Human Resources from De Paul University and has completed his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain. A qualified executive coach, Mr. AlKuwaiti has completed a number of professional programmes including an Executive Human Resources Training in London Business School and Senior Leadership programme.
On this occasion, Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Executive Officer Captain Waleed AlAlawi said: “At Gulf Air, we are committed to hiring the best Bahraini talents with rich experience into the executive management team.
