Dubai, March 19th, 2008: The Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai Perpetual Calender, a special edition watch created in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Ferrari, won the Best Special Edition Award amidst tight competition at the Middle East Watch of the Year Awards 2007, organized by Alam Assaat Wal Moujawharat magazine. 

Commenting on the win, Mr. Angelo Bonati, CEO for Officine Panerai said, "We are thrilled to receive such a prestigious award. The Ferrari engineered by Officine Panerai Perpetual Calender is a unique and sophisticated limited edition watch that is programmed to indicate the correct date until 2100, a year which will not be a leap year although it is a multiple of 100. In addition and clearly visible on the back is the engraving of the logo created specially for Ferrari to celebrate this important anniversary.

The Perpetual Calender, in a pink gold case, an edition in a steel case is also planned to be delivered in June 2008 to the Middle East region, appears with the technical and aesthetic details which have quickly made the Ferrari engineered by Officine Panerai range of watches such a success; from the elements applied to the dial, including the Ferrari Prancing Horse, to the other important aesthetic details which enhance it. The references to Ferrari cars and their dashboards found in the details of the design of the case and the straps are once again apparent.

The indicator of the perpetual calender - days and months - appears at 3 and 6 o'clock and recalls the plan of a racing circuit.

Technically the movement indicates the date according to the Gregorian calender which was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, which is still used today in the majority of countries across the world.

Ferrari is celebrating its 60th Anniversary in grand style with an exclusive limited edition of 60 units of a Scaglietti 612 Gran Turismo car, while Panerai is honouring the 60 years with 60 examples of this original exclusive Perpetual Calender watch, highlighting the perpetuity and continuity of these exclusively Italian productions.

Pink gold screw-in, personalised with the Ferrari 60th Anniversary logo; engraved round the edge is the inscription "Engineered by OFFICINE PANERAI".

Black with square-grid decoration, Ferrari and Prancing Horse logos at 12 o'clock, 60-minute scale with Arabic numerals at 5-minute intervals on the flange, continuous small seconds at 9 o'clock, indicator of the months and the 4 years of the leap year display at 3 o'clock, date display at 6 o'clock, with cone-sectioned flanges in pink gold, small seconds and display hands in pink gold, skeleton baton hour and minute hands.  

Crystal:                      
Sapphire, 1.9 mm thick with anti-reflective coating.

Water-resistance:    
100 metres.

Strap:                         
In black alligator with contrasting stitching, the inside part in red alligator with red sewing, personalised adjustable buckle in brushed pink gold, the edge of the closure in polished finish. Spare strap in rubber with the incised inscription Ferrari.
