DUBAI: Fakeeh University Hospital has received DHA approvals to host two batches of students from the University of Sharjah College of Medicine for its Clinical Observership Programme. Through the programme, the Hospital will extend its academic and research facility affiliation and experience to the medical fraternity, ensuring the upcoming generation of medical practitioners are welcomed to an environment where education, research & medical care translate into clinical excellence.

The Clinical Observership programme receives two students each in Child’s health, Women’s health, Medicine, and Surgery, totalling to 16 students from the 31st of August until the 28th of October 2021.

Fakeeh University Hospital brings a relatively unique experience to the UAE, particularly to the private sector, where both an academic and clinical unit are combined onto one campus. The University in Dubai will be affiliated with the Fakeeh College of Medical Sciences, which was established in 2003 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has proven to be a very successful model. The programme is approved by the Dubai Health Authority and Fakeeh University Hospital is providing practical on-site training to learners from the University of Sharjah. This will help the students get hands-on experience while observing live surgeries and consultations.  This agreement also includes improving the behavioural and professional skills of medical students in line with international best practices in professional educational environment and culture. This also gives the students an opportunity to learn and practice on the latest technology available. Fakeeh University Hospital functions as one of the most advanced smart hospitals in the region, using robust technological systems to facilitate patients’ care and doctors’ efficiency.
