Dubai: Radisson Blu Hotels, Dubai Waterfront & Canal View are proud to announce that Mike Getachew (Cluster Concierge Manager who is holding the General Secretary position for Les Clefs d'Or UAE), will be representing the Radisson Hotel Group Concierges worldwide during the meeting of UICH (Union Internationale des Concierges d'Hotel) in Istanbul.

Mike started his successful journey in Dubai back in 2007 and has been working with Radisson Hotels Group for more than 10 years in a managerial position. Since then, Mike has trained several employees around the EMEA and took the concierge services of RHG to the exceptional level.  He has also got several rewards, including:

  • Best head concierge 2012 in concierge computation organized by DTCM
  • Short-listed best concierge Hotelier Middle East Award 2013
  • Manager of the year Award Radisson Royal Hotel Dubai 2015
  • Manager of the year Award Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Waterfront 2018
  • Short-listed Concierge / Guest service of the year Award Hotelier Middle East Award 2020

Les Clefs d’Or (translated as The Golden Keys) is a professional association of hotel concierges, with approximately 4000 members working in over 80 countries and 530 destinations. Whether it is a leisure or a business visit, their assistance will be invaluable.

In 2021, he brought together concierges from all Radisson Hotels in UAE and created a WhatsApp group where they can share updates on events happening around UAE, monthly meetings, provide networking with other concierges, and other events for the Les Clefs d'Or group. With the same dedication, the RHG concierges are keen to get insights on how they can also become full Les Clefs d'Or members in the nearest future.

During the 4th quarter of 2022, Mike had a very successful Concierge cross-training exposure program in Saudi Arabia, where he could train other RHG employees on how to get confidence, motivation, and willpower.

In his spare time, he is participating in social work and holding the Vice - Chairman of the Ethiopian community in Dubai & North Emirates position which has more than 120,000 members.

Mike says that his aim goal is to make Radisson Hotel Group Concierges recognized for their hospitality and the ability to create memorable and priceless moments for their guests. He truly believes in the motto of ‘In Service Through Friendship’. This is what we call - #YourKeyToEverything
