Muscat: Revered as the largest trade and exhibition conference catering to the Sultanate’s booming building, construction, design and real estate industry, the 18th edition of the Oman Design and Build Week (ODBW) is scheduled to commence on 13 March at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC). The 3-day event will run until 15 March 2023 and will be organised by CONNECT under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in partnership with the Oman Real Estate Association. Co-located with ODBW, will be the Oman Real Estate Expo (OREX), which has earned its name as an iconic networking platform that connects local and international property developers and real estate brokers to potential buyers and investors from the local market as well as other relevant authorities and service providers.
Assuming the role of Lead Sponsor will be Wujha, a leading real estate company renowned for promoting modern commercial and residential projects. Meanwhile, Muriya, Oman’s largest and most diversified private integrated real estate and tourism developer, will be the Platinum Sponsor at ODBW. A key highlight of the event will be the ODBW Conference organised in collaboration with the Oman Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Oman Real Estate Association. The 3-day CPD-credited sessions will provide insights into the Oman Spatial Strategy and Oman Real Estate Strategy and their influence and impact on the investment environment and construction industry in the Sultanate. Additionally, high-profile speakers from Oman and the region will be discussing the future of real estate in light with the evolving technological landscape and sustainable development goals. Various panels will cover important subjects such as real estate brokerage, VAT, capital markets, governorates development and more.
Parallel to the event will be a Hackathon organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning which will provide the youth an opportunity to engage in contests and creativity competitions covering elements from the Sorouh’s projects.
At ODBW, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning will also announce the launch of a number of new projects in the real estate sector in Muscat and across the Sultanate. The event will, therefore, witness multiple project signing ceremonies between the Ministry and mega projects developers in the country.
