Empower will provide its services to finished and under construction projects in Al Jaddaf area. Being the world's largest district cooling services provider, the company is keen to provide residents of Jaddaf area with the latest district cooling technologies, which will help reduce energy consumption and provide more efficient and eco-friendly cooling services for their developments.

“Serving the Jaddaf area is an important step to ensure Empower expands its network to all districts in Dubai. Implementing a district cooling system in Jaddaf will not only lead to building efficiency, but also reduce demand on local power utilities significantly,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

Dubai’s Al Jaddaf area is bordered to the north and east by the Dubai Creek, to the south by Zabeel, and to the west by Umm Hurair 2. The area is still developing to a huge hotel hub with many high-end hotels at present in construction. With many residential and commercial apartments, this area also has a metro station which is controlled by the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA).

The concept of district cooling has been adopted by several areas and projects in Dubai. It is an effective and efficient system of air conditioning that can reduce the  percentage of carbon dioxide emissions remarkably. Empower’s excellent track record in delivering safe, reliable and environment-friendly district cooling solutions has enhanced the trust on district cooling solutions, attracting more attention from public and private organisations, thereby promoting sustainable development for the current and future generations.

“District cooling is the way forward to tackle climate change and move towards a green economy. It is cost-effective, reduces carbon footprint and provides much better cooling. It is noted that district cooling solutions consumes up to 50 per cent less power compared to conventional cooling solutions. In a region where cooling solutions are required almost round the year, district cooling is the perfect solution,” concluded Ahmad Bin Shafar.
