- 2022 edition to include 370 courses and 1000 programs
Dubai – The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS), a regional leader in banking and finance education and training, today announced its 2022 Annual Training Plan (ATP), a skills map for financial and banking professionals to deepen specialist skillsets in order to better serve the UAE’s growing banking ecosystem.
Developed in line with the recent announcements made the UAE government to increase Emirati representation in the workforce, the 2022 plan was signed off by H.E. Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chairman of EIBFS and the Board of Directors. The plan aims to reskill the current Emirati workforce and expand their career pathways by improving their skills and competencies.
Based on the theme ‘Ready for the future’, the 2022 ATP features a range of international certificates, professional certificates, Insight e-learning and learning bundles. Trainees can opt for full-fledged courses, micro-learning modules or self-paced learning options.
Speaking of the ATP 2022, Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, said: “At EIBFS, we strive to continues play a proactive and leading role in the nationalization agenda of the UAE Government. The Institute works closely with the Central Bank of UAE, Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization and Human Resources Authority and other stakeholders to ensure that future ready Emirati talent is groomed for all specialized areas in banking and financial services. In this context, it gives me great pleasure to launch the 2022 curriculum. Through this enhanced learning model, we look forward to imparting a holistic learning experience.”
For his part, Jamal Al Jassmi, General Manager of EIBFS, said: “The 2022 Learning Plan reflects our futuristic vision to understand the evolving nature of jobs and the related skills and competencies in the financial sector. The rapid strides made in the domains of Blockchain, Artificial intelligence, Robotic Process Automation etc. imply that the skills and competencies needed for future banking jobs could be very different from the current skillsets. In this regard EIBFS is pleased to announce the launch of its own ‘Future Banking Skills framework’, which reflects the competencies needed for future bankers around digital, business skills, and new mindsets.”
Emiratization Learning Solutions
As part of the ATP 2022, EIBFS is launching a specialized learning program aimed at skilling and reskilling Emiratis who are new joiners and those who are in senior positions in the bank. This targeted program has been built in collaboration with leading global institutions and will provide in-depth knowledge on traditional banking subjects as well as trending topics such as digital and technology awareness, data literacy and change and innovation.
New Certifications Available
EIBFS has introduced 13 new certificate programs. These include the EIBFS International Certificate in Fintech, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Analytics, Fraud Management, Treasury Management, Trade Finance, Islamic Retail Banking, Internal Audit, Wealth Management, Corporate Relationship Management, Credit and Business Communication. The programs are available in four batches through classroom and online classes.
Professional Certificates and Senior Management Training
Banking professionals can access a range of professional certificate courses and training modules. Certificates in Green and Sustainable finance and Climate risk are the latest addition to the EIFBS courses. Moreover, several management roundtables and workshops have also been planned for the upcoming year.
The 2022 ATP has been curated with an aim to raise the standard of performance of the workforce employed in the banking sector and qualify UAE nationals for successful careers. Moreover, through the comprehensive offering, EIBFS seeks to attract UAE nationals who are not yet employed in banks, train them to apply the concepts and methods of banking, thereby expanding the existing pool of skilled nationals.
