Sharjah: The second edition of E88 Market organised by Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC) and launched in partnership with several institutions and government bodies, served to strengthen the cooperation between various entities and achieve the goals of Sharjah in advancing the quality of life of its residents by organising social activities to strengthen the bonds between community members.
Running till January 4, 2020, the event is sponsored by the Sharjah Economic Development Department, Sharjah Municipality, Ruwad, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation, with the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) taking pride of position as diamond sponsors.
On sponsoring E88 Market, HE Thabit Salem Obaid Al Tarifi, Director-General of Sharjah City Municipality, commented: “Sharjah Municipality is keen on taking part in social events held in the emirate and provide the necessary support to ensure its success, which is aligned with Sharjah’s vision in attracting tourists and visitors through creative and innovate fun-filled activities.”
For his part, HE Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department, said: “The department is keen on taking part in events and exhibitions that supports Sharjah’s economy positively, impacts the growth of different sectors and provide a platform for SMEs and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, which in turn will boost the economy.”
HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) said: “The event seeks to offer entrepreneurs and start-ups the opportunity to deliver and promote their services and products. Therefore, supporting this activity contributes to bolstering Sharjah’s tourism sector and further its position as a key tourist hub and family destination.”
For his part, HE Hamad Al Mahmoud, Director of “Ruwad” Foundation, said it was important for entrepreneurs to take part in the second edition of E88 Market because it connected their businesses with visitors. He thanked JRCC for their efforts and initiatives that brought together all members of society, and supported SMEs and entrepreneurs.
