Recently, LG Sonic has notified the start of the second phase of the Al Qudra lakes treatment in Dubai. The company conducted several tests on the lakes together with the Dubai Municipality and the results were positive. During the briefing about the first phase of their operations, Mr. Hamza Maooied, Director of LG Sonic Middle East said: “In two months, we have achieved great results by reducing over 90% of algae growth. We have developed a customized system based on the lakes’ demanding weather and geographic location, which will be introduced globally to our enthusiastic and potential customers.”In the first phase of operations, LG Sonic’s team installed multiple LG Sonic MPC-Buoy systems in the Al Qudra lakes. Each system has a proactive self-cleaning device, also known as Aqua Wiper, which helped to achieve a significant reduction of maintenance costs. As the project enters into its next phase, the company’s team is ready to deploy the MPC-Buoy’s into the waters of Al Qudra Lakes.
The system is also equipped with an advanced wireless communication hardware that uses satellite protocols to monitor and control the amount of algae in the water. As the project enters into its next phase, the company’s team is ready to deploy the MPC-Buoy systems into the waters of Al Qudra Lakes."The development of the system has been finalized despite the lockdown periods due to COVID-19 and our R&D department managed to test the system before shipping it to the UAE,” said Mr. Hamza Maooied.
