Dubai – Dubai Land Department (DLD) has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Princess Haya Award for Special Education (PHASE) to host its sixth cycle.
Commenting on the agreement, Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department said: “We have an increased focus on corporate social responsibility this year that goes in harmony with the “Year of Giving 2017” initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as we are going to announce more initiatives, which will be beneficial to the UAE society,”

Therefore, the department has associated with close ties with community organizations to help them carry out their duties towards people with special needs. Our sponsorship of the Princess Haya Award for Special Education came in recognition of its role in integrating people with special needs to be productive and creative members in the community,”
On his part, Mohammed Al Emadi, Head of Executive Committee of the Award thanked the Dubai Land Department for sponsoring the award, praising its significant role in the community that ensures the security, stability and greater well-being of our people in the UAE.
Earlier, Princess Haya Award for Special Education (PHASE) announced a total of 119 nominations have been received this year by the panel from various special education centers in the UAE and Arab countries.
The Award ceremony to be held on April 11th 2017 bringing together all special needs educators, therapists, professionals, centers and their partners from UAE, GCC region and Arab countries.
Launched on November 2009, Princess Haya Award for Special Education is the first initiative of its kind in the region. It targets the best models in the special needs sector through various categories according to high international standards. The initiative also aims to encourage people working in the special needs to excel and set higher service standards in all fields of special education.
