Bin Mejren: Through our strategic partnership with the exhibition we are keen to share experiences and best practices

Dubai Land Department participates in three major events and highlights the achievements of a full year

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 02 April 2017

Dubai Land Department (DLD) has made an impression on the first day of the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition 2017, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The department focused its efforts on showcasing the range of smart applications that it has developed to serve the real estate sector in the Emirate, including the ‘Enterprise Vision Manager System’ for planning and risk management, and the ‘Trust Account System’.

His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department, said: "Through our close relationship with the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition 2017 as a strategic partner, we offer the best of what we have created to serve our customers. DLD’s employees are fully prepared to cooperate with other institutions and visitors, which will help us achieve the goal of sharing experiences, exchanging best practices, spreading awareness about our services to our customers, and promoting Dubai as the ideal city for investing, living, working and visiting. "

Achievements and projects

This year, DLD has focused on the ‘Trust Account System’ application – one of the department’s most prominent achievements. It is an electronic system that manages the registration of developers and project operations, and follows up the implementation of projects through its services until the end of the project.

Another important application presented by DLD this year is the integrated ‘Enterprise Vision Manager System’ for planning and risk management. "This electronic system is an integrated electronic platform aimed at supporting the decision making process, by providing timely and accurate information to officials on the levels of performance and achievement of DLD’s strategic objectives, projects and performance indicators, which contribute to the realization of the Dubai Strategic Plan 2021. The system also includes an integrated platform for the criteria of the fourth generation of the Government Excellence System in Dubai to comprise a qualitative impact in the follow up of strategic and excellence results in Dubai Land.

The department also presented its ‘Investment Map’, which serves the real estate community as it carries a full range of comprehensive applications – as well as Google search tools – that enable investors and businessmen to access many investment opportunities through their smart devices, and help to support the decision making process.

DLD’s ‘Ejari’ application has received increasing interest from visitors. This smart leasing management app provides services that allow landlords, property management companies and owner representatives to manage their leasing on the move. The overall application is designed to provide greater flexibility for the lease application management processes.

The ‘Smart Judge’ application is one of the latest smart applications to be developed by DLD. It supports the Rental Disputes Centre by enabling rental parties to ascertain their legal positions regarding leases and establish whether or not they have the right to file a judicial case before entering the various stages of litigation. The application has many other features including free legal advice on issues related to leases and transactions in Dubai.

DLD’s representatives also provided an explanation to visitors and interested people about its ‘Dubai Broker Application’, which serves a large segment of beneficiaries such as property companies and investors by providing accurate, real-time information about Dubai brokers and real estate agent offices that are licensed and approved by DLD.

During the event, which runs until 4th April at the Dubai World Trade Center, DLD is participating under the theme ‘Dubai Land…Innovative Achievements…Global Leadership’ and will be part of the following three events this year: Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE), International Property Show (IPS), and Future Cities Show. The department will be using these exhibitions as ideal platforms for highlighting its achievements and programmes, which have ensured its position as a global leader in local and international forums.
