Dubai: Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) welcomed a host of celebrities and stars to the city, including Hollywood screen and Grammy-winning artists, to celebrate this year’s shopping event which ran from 26 December 2018 to 2 February 2019.  

Hollywood mega actress Eva Longoria attended this year’s DSF and visited Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall to browse its variety of luxury brands, whilst Bollywood celebrity Jacqueline Fernandez shopped and soaked up the exciting atmosphere of the festival.

Global Village, a leading multicultural festival park, welcomed people to enjoy an array of live performances during the winter shopping festival. International artists that performed on stage included Egypt’s Mohammed Hamaki, Saudi Arabian singer Rabeh Saqer, Pakistan’s Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Syrian musicians Hussain Al Deek and Wafiq Habib followed by Egyptian singers Saad Al Soughaiyar and Amina with Lebanese superstar Elissa closing the Global Village concert series. Dubai also played host to Bollywood superstars, such as singer and Screen Awards winner Arijit Singh at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

In addition, Pakistani Sufi rock band Junoon, who reformed after a 13-year hiatus, reunited to perform at the Dubai Duty Free Stadium while Pinoy fans enjoyed a musical spectacle, with the band performing their hit songs from the 1990’s at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Nine-member K-Pop girl group Momoland, who has received international recognition and a series of accolades including Idol Group of the Year at Korea Brand Awards, also touched down in Dubai for their first concert in the Middle East.

Lovers of local Arab talent were treated to a performance from Emirati singer Husain Al Jasmi, who gathered crowds at Dubai Opera whilst stand-up comedian, Max Amini amused attendees with funny impressions and stories at the Madinat Theatre.

Making a Middle Eastern debut, ‘Shotgun’ singer and songwriter George Ezra performed live at Dubai World Trade Centre and uplifted crowds with his signature folk-pop tracks that have attracted worldwide attention. EDM fans were treated to a set from Dutch DJ and producer Hardwell, who played on decks at the Atlantis The Palm, Dubai.
