Dubai, UAE: Dubai Chamber recently recognised 17 companies that participated in the Business Mentoring and Support (BMS) programme during a virtual ceremony.
The honoured companies that offered mentorship as part of the programme were: Alabbar Enterprises, Aramex, BDP International, The Corporate Group, Crescent Enterprises, Du, Future Pipe Industries and Kimoha Entrepreneurs Ltd.
The recognized mentee companies were: BRW society, Corporate Business Services, Drink Dry, Elite Tech General Trading, Himatrix Group, Manzil Center, Management Solutions International, MyTab and Hira Industries.
The programme achieved its objectives of assisting SME development and performance, identifying and eliminating barriers faced by SMEs, building and strengthening SME business competencies and for large companies to contribute to the development of Dubai, promoting and fostering links between large companies and SMEs and assisting companies with navigating Covid-related challenges.
“Given the shifting challenges faced by SMEs in the evolving business landscape, the Dubai Chamber programme provides these enterprises with valuable support and resources in the key challenge areas, in a way that not only addresses immediate needs but also helps them develop and grow into thriving businesses,” said Dr. Belaid, Senior Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, Dubai Chamber.
He noted that Dubai Chamber launched the Business Mentoring and Support program with the aim of creating a platform for the business community that enables mentees to access knowledge, skills, experience and support and for mentors to enhance their strategic Corporate Social Responsibility commitments
Applications are now open to companies that want to participate in the 2022 programme as mentors and mentees. Interested companies can apply here.
The Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) was established by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2004 to support and promote corporate social responsibility and sustainability. The Centre’s objective is to engage the Dubai business community in assuming greater responsibility for the emirate’s social and environmental needs.
