Deloitte has just announced the appointment of Ahmad Al Qassabi as managing partner of the Firm’s Oman practice, effective June 1, 2019, replacing Anis Sadek who retires from the firm on that date. The Deloitte Oman practice has a long history in the country, serving international and local clients and this appointment of an Omani to lead the Oman practice reflects Deloitte’s commitment to Oman’s dynamic market and support of the country’s Vision 2040 economic plan set out by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

In his current partner role at Deloitte, Ahmed handles key clients in Audit, Financial Advisory and Consulting in Oman, and leads the Firm’s corporate governance initiatives. He has been pivotal in Deloitte’s Omanization program, which focuses on developing the skills and careers of Omani youth to enable them to hold leadership positions in the Firm.

“We continue to expand our offerings to the clients and market in Oman” said Omar Fahoum, CEO, Deloitte Middle East. “I am pleased that Ahmed brings his deep understanding of his country Oman’s market and clients to lead Deloitte’s practice in the Sultanate as part of the Deloitte ME network in the region.”

Anis Sadek, who is retiring from Deloitte as the current Oman managing partner said: “Having worked closely with Ahmed over the past years, I know that he embodies the values and principles of our Firm and I am happy to see him take this important step in his career, a role which will benefit both our clients and our people in Oman.”

Ahmed Al Qassabi said, “I am honored and excited to lead the business in Oman. Deloitte is a great firm and I will be pleased to continue working with our talented professionals in Oman to serve our clients and make an impact that matters.”
