Dubai: Continental celebrates its 150th anniversary on 8th October this year – a huge milestone in the company’s long and historic presence in the automotive and mobility industry. To mark this remarkable landmark, the German brand is organising a unique fitness challenge – the ContiFit Challenge – for 250 participants from around the UAE at a special course in Dubai.

With so many achievements and ‘firsts’ to its name, it is only fitting that Continental’s 150th anniversary celebrations carry the slogan “Mobility. Our heartbeat for 150 years.” Taking place on Friday, 8th October 2021, the ContiFit Challenge is being hosted at Last Exit in Al Qudra and is guaranteed to result in significantly increased heart rates for everyone taking part. Registrations for the ContiFit Challenge open today at www.contifitchallenge.com.

The 150-metre course will feature five tyre-based obstacle fitness challenges for participants of all abilities, including a plank walk, tyre flip, crawl and sprint. Competitors will be scored and ranked against the time taken to successfully complete all the challenge workouts, with awards for the winners.

The event will run from 07:00 a.m. to around midday and there will be something for everyone to enjoy – including a Children’s Play Zone, food trucks serving refreshments, music and seating for spectators. In addition, Emirates for Universal Tyres (EUT), Continental’s sole distributor in the UAE, will be attending the event and offering free car tyre safety checks, carried out by their team of experienced professionals.

Mostafa Farouk, Marketing Manager at Continental Middle East said: “We’re really excited about the ContiFit event; and sharing this 150th anniversary celebration with our customers will make it even more special. It’s great to be part of the Continental family on this landmark anniversary and we can look forward to continuing our remarkable journey together and making sure all roads ahead are safe and fun.”
