Dubai, UAE: talabat, the region’s leading online food delivery and q-commerce platform, has officially opened its first “talabat Kitchen” in its new tech headquarters in City Walk. This launch follows the success talabat’s innovative two-storey dine-in concept witnessed during the six-months of Expo 2020 Dubai, which was the first of its kind in the UAE.
Encapsulating the company’s vision for the future of cloud kitchens, the talabat Kitchen offers an interactive user journey within contemporary settings. Customers will be able to place their orders through “SmartDine”, talabat’s proprietary “Scan, Order & Pay” dining solution, and pick up their meals from contactless smart lockers through unique QR codes, creating a digital and innovative experience.
Commenting on the announcement, Samrat Sharma, MENA Director of Kitchen Operations at talabat said: “The innovative talabat kitchen is our first in the region to offer dine-in settings to customers outside of Expo 2020 Dubai, where our two-storey cloud kitchen served hundreds and thousands of visitors during the six months of the show. It is built with the consumer in mind, in a way that gives them access to over 25 brands in a contemporary-designed space, while allowing them to enjoy a convenient and tech-oriented dining experience. The spacious seating area has a capacity to welcome more than 160 visitors. We look forward to showcasing the future of food delivery and to bringing this concept to new areas.”
Today, the talabat Kitchen is home to 19 brands by KR&CO including Poke & Co, Healthy & Co and Chick’n Co, with the aim to have 25 be available by the end of the year. Additionally, customers can visit the “Everyday Roastery” coffee bar at the same location for their daily coffee of choice, smoothies and a variety of delicious pastries.
The talabat kitchen is located in Building #6 in City Walk, and is open everyday from 8AM to 10PM.
