Riyadh: The Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has won the Employer of Choice award in the CIPD Middle East People Awards 2022 at the Awards Ceremony Gala Dinner organized by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in Dubai last week. There were 120 candidates in the award’s nominations.
Commenting on the win, Dr. Bashar Al Malik, CEO of Saudi Arabia Railway (SAR) said: “This important achievement reflects SAR’s efforts to develop the work environment by applying the best operational standards and practices to motivate the employees and attract the best talents.
“It entrenches our commitment to provide the finest workplace conditions at all SAR facilities and meet the needs of the employees in order to reach high performance levels.” Al Malik added.
Abdulrahman Turkistani, HR & Business Support General Manager, said: “This recognition confirms the success of our organizational vision at SAR as we have invested a lot of time and effort over the past years to achieve this level which we are proud of, we are keen to keep improving and we look forward for more achievements for (SAR).”
CIPD Middle East People Awards organized by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) are awarded as the institute believes in the power of the people profession as organizations are powered and supported by people professionals, whether they are Human Resources, Learning and Development, or line managers. The awards categories include People-focused CEO of the Year, HR / Learning & Development Team of the Year, Best Wellbeing Programme, Best Employee Engagement Initiative, Best Learning & Development Programme, Best Recruitment & Talent Management Strategy, Best Coaching & Mentoring Initiative, and Best Digital Innovation in HR / L&D.
