Abu Dhabi: As part of its ongoing efforts to focus on complex care and pediatric sub-specialties, Burjeel Holdings, one of the leading private healthcare services providers in the MENA region, in collaboration with renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Dror Paley, has launched a dedicated clinic in the country. The Paley Middle East Clinic, located at Burjeel Medical City (BMC), aims to become a hub for complex procedures in the region by providing world-class specialized orthopedic care for people with musculoskeletal conditions. It is the first clinic in the Middle East by Dr. Paley, who has performed around 20,000 limb-lengthening and reconstruction-related procedures. Along with Dr. Paley, the launch ceremony was attended by Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings.
Dr. Dror Paley, MD, FRCSC, is a pioneer orthopedic surgeon who has dedicated his life to helping people by developing over 100 different surgical procedures. He is a board-certified, triple fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon internationally recognized for his expertise in limb lengthening, deformity reconstruction, and joint preservation in the upper and lower limbs of children and adults. BMC, one of the leading quaternary care facilities in the UAE, expects the clinic to serve as a beacon for orthopedic surgical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
Dr. Paley’s worldwide reputation and expertise extend to children and adults in the diagnosis and treatment of special orthopedic conditions, including congenital limb deformities, post-traumatic limb conditions, bone healing problems, bone defects, skeletal dysplasia, metabolic disorders, foot deformities, peripheral nerve disorders, and other miscellaneous developmental deformities. The clinic at BMC will offer the same expertise to patients.

Dr. Paley is the Founder and Director of the Paley Institute in Florida, US. He was also the Founder and Director of the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics and the Director of the International Center for Limb Lengthening at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, US.
Along with Dr. Paley, the medical team comprising orthopedic experts, including Dr. David Feldman, Dr. Michael Uglow, and Dr. Irshad Waheed, will offer their services to the patients at the Paley Middle East Clinic. Dr. Feldman is an internationally renowned hip and spine surgeon and an expert in arthrogryposis. Dr. Uglow has expertise in children's orthopedics, specialising in limb length and deformity correction as well as foot and ankle surgery. At the same time, Dr. Waheed is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon skilled in limb lengthening and deformity correction procedures.

The comprehensive rehabilitation department at BMC will provide services to support the Paley Clinic by providing individualized physical and occupational therapy services to help patients recover after the surgery.
