Abu Dhabi (UAE): Reach British School, part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), celebrated the academic achievement of their student Sama Elmansoury, who has been recognised with the High Achiever Pearson Learners Award 2022, for her outstanding results in the Pearson Edexcel GCSE and International GCSE May/June 2022 Exam Series.

Sama, who aspires to be a doctor, achieved exceptionally high levels of attainment in her IGCSE results, earning six Grade 9s and two Grade 8s in her 2021/2022 exam session. She is currently continuing her A-Level studies in the sciences at Reach British School.

Craig Halsall, Principal of Reach British School, said: “Sama worked hard and succeeded! We are all very proud of Sama, who is dedicated to achieving her goals, at our school. We believe she is deserving of this award because of the countless hours of study, patience, and hard work she has put into her studies. She is a wonderful source of inspiration and a role model for all of us at Reach British School."

The global awards recognise top performers in the Pearson Edexcel iPrimary, iLower Secondary, International GCSE, GCSE, International A level, and A level examinations that are offered at schools around the world.

"I feel overwhelmed by the fact I just received this award. I had excellent facilities at school that guided my studies and the support of my teachers helped me to achieve this award. I worked hard to manage completing the course work along with independent study. The learning technique which I follow is practicing a lot of past papers and noting down each and every concept while learning, " said Sama.

“At the centre of what we do at Reach British School is Amazing Learning.  With this philosophy, wherever you think your child might be in any subject, we assure you that they will do better than you can ever imagine possible through the range of learning opportunities we offer,” said Mr. Adam Crossley, Head of Secondary

Crossley continued, “As a modern British School, we offer a wide range of subjects including Maths, English, Science, ICT, Art, PE, Food Technology, French, Geography and History as well as the core Ministry of Education subjects. Our secondary school offers two clear pathways that our students can choose to progress through. Our STEAM and Enterprise pathways help our students to shape their careers in these two most common specialisms in the region.”

Reach British School offers a broad and balanced curriculum in line with British and International qualification standards whilst adhering to the requirements of the UAE. Throughout Key Stage 3, IGCSE and Sixth-Form students can choose from a range of subjects designed to prepare them for future careers in STEAM and/or Enterprise at university destinations around the world.
