Dubai, UAE: Hala, Dubai’s most convenient e-hailing taxi solution, announced the culmination of its Ramadan campaign, ‘Further Together’, dedicated to supporting Captains, Customers, and Communities.

In partnership with Mr. Govinda’s, Karachi Grills, Mian Jee and Costa Coffee, Hala successfully distributed 11,000 Iftar meals to its Captains throughout the Holy Month. Additionally, 500 captains from different nationalities gathered to break their fast at the ‘Further Together’ Iftar event organised by Hala on 4 April 2023. The captains and Hala team were joined by the Roads Transport Authority (RTA) and taxi franchise partners at the lively gathering, bringing together the community and a shared spirit of unity.

Khaled Nuseibeh, Chief Executive Officer at Hala commented: “We are deeply committed to taking care of our Captains, who are at the heart of everything we do. I want to thank all our esteemed partners for supporting our mission of keeping our Captains happy and engaged, aligning with our captain-first approach where we aim to add value and help simplify their lives.”

Recognising Hala’s long-standing partnership with all of the five taxi partners, special awards were given to the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) and National Taxi for going above and beyond in contributing to Hala’s vision and growth. Hala also announced awards to celebrate and recognize the efforts of the 5 taxi partners’ operations teams. Along with that, Hala Captains were awarded in different categories that included ‘Highest Trips, Highest Online Hours, Highest Acceptance Rate, Highest Quality, Evening Peak Hours, and Morning Peak Hours’, with each winner receiving a prize of AED 2,000.

‘Captain of the Year’ was awarded to Surendra Shreshtha of Metro Taxi while Ishtiaq Ahmed from National Taxi received the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ awards. The winners received AED 10,000 each. The event also included exciting giveaways sponsored by Hala partners to recognise the efforts and dedication of Hala Captains as demand for the service continues to grow. Cleartrip.ae, a global online travel company, sponsored six complimentary flight tickets worth AED 6,000 and announced flight credits worth AED 1 million for all Hala Captains collectively. Motorola gave away 15 Motorola mobile phones and Ear Buds, while Al Ansari Exchange offered a cash reward of AED 6,000.

In support of the Communities, Hala also partnered with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to launch a CrowdFunding Campaign, providing support to Syrian communities still battling with the aftermath of the recent earthquakes.

With a mission to foster a culture of inclusivity and care, Hala continuously looks for ways to add value to better the lives of its Captains, Communities and Customers. In October 2022, ‘Hala Home’ was launched - a Captain support centre dedicated to well-being and learning, providing first-hand solutions to technical queries and a development hub for training and networking throughout the year. Since its launch, Hala has trained over 3,400 new Captains and has serviced over 24,000 Captains in the first three months of the year.
