Dubai, UAE: The live-entertainment tech startup has doubled its revenue, strengthening its position in North America.
With this new round led by Goldman Sachs, Fever reaches a $1.8 billion valuation.
Fever attracts this funding to invest in new global entertainment content opportunities and continue its expansion into new markets.
Fever, the leading live-entertainment discovery platform, has raised $110m in a round led by the Growth Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (“Goldman Sachs”).
This round brings the company's valuation to $1.8 billion and validates the growing demand for live entertainment and culture.
Alongside Goldman Sachs, it has also participated in Eurazeo, one of Europe's most significant private equity growth funds, and Convivialité Ventures (an investment fund focused on the intersection between technology and entertainment), as well as other leading US investors in the consumer technology and entertainment sector such as Goodwater Capital (one of Silicon Valley's largest consumer tech funds, investors in Monzo, Spotify, and Tiktok), Alignment Growth (led by former Warner Bros and Time Warner executives), Vitruvian Partners, and Smash Capital (venture capital fund led by former Disney executives and investors in companies such as Epic Games, creators of Fortnite).
Fever – whose mission is to democratize access to culture and entertainment – has developed a proprietary technology to inspire its global community through personalized and curated experiences in its local city, while empowering entertainment and event creators to reach new audiences and enhance their experiences.
Rachid Laurent Elameri, General Manager of Fever Middle East, commented on this: "We are proud and thrilled to be embarking on another year working alongside our entertainment partners to globally scale and deliver curated experiences to the masses. The resources garnered through this funding round enable us to expand and grow our team into new markets including the GCC, and continue empowering creators around the world to escalate their business ventures through Fever’s market-leading data and technology."
Over the last year, the company has managed to double its turnover, exceeding expectations. It has consolidated its position in North America, which now represents more than 50% of the group's revenues. This new funding will enable investment in new content opportunities, following the success of its participation in experiences such as 'Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest', 'Stranger Things: the Experience', 'Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience', 'Jurassic World: The Exhibition', 'The FRIENDS™ Experience' and the 'Candlelight' classical music concert series, which has made Fever the largest seller of live classical music in the world. Recently, Fever inaugurated the ‘Authentic Flamenco’ world tour in New York in collaboration with Madrid's Royal Theatre.
Fever, co-led by Ignacio Bachiller Ströhlein, Alexandre Pérez Casares, and Francisco Hein, has gone in just six years from being present in only three cities to becoming a global leader in its category in more than 80 cities in Europe, America, Asia, and Oceania.
