Manama, Bahrain: Bahrain hosted the Arab International Cybersecurity Summit (AICS), the first of its kind cybersecurity event in the region. Co-hosted by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the AICS represented the largest event, bringing together global and regional industry leaders to facilitate knowledge sharing and mind-opening ideas on cybersecurity. CTM360 was a proud Digital Risk Protection Sponsor at the AICS, held from 6 to 8 December 2022 at the Exhibition World Bahrain.

The Cyber Leaders Forum at the AICS has drawn several decision-makers from around the world. Mr. Mirza Asrar Baig was a Speaker at the Forum to discuss the topic (Whole of society collaboration to tackle cybercrime). "My concern about cybercrime is the amount of losses and gaps that keep happening and increasing every year. Here I considered addressing cybercrime as a key global pain point, and that's why I built CTM360." he stated. "As an initial step, it is imperative that we collectively, the national entities, the government authorities, the academia, and the private sector, collaborate together to standardize cybersecurity terminology." he continued.
Furthermore, the Block Stage also hosted Mr. Mirza Asrar Baig to speak about his new perspective on Cyber Threat Intelligence. "The industry should consider the Indicators of Exposure (IoE), Indicators of Attack (IoA) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) instead of Indicators of Compromise (IoC),” he stated.
Among the panel discussions in the AICS was Women in Cybersecurity, hosting two ladies from CTM360, Toqa Al Tamimi and Fatema Hasan. On the topic of (Whole of society collaboration to tackle cybercrime), Fatema focused on the importance of providing the end user with a proper means to report cyber incidents as well as information sharing in a timely manner across all stakeholders as the key areas that can help in reducing cybercrime. “Participating in the event was an exciting and insightful experience. I had the opportunity to shed light on the importance of active collaboration between the government, academia, and industry, and highlight the significance of having robust regulations to ensure a secure supply chain and 3rd party cybersecurity risk monitoring.” said Toqa Al Tamimi.
The AICS agenda covered a wide range of cybersecurity aspects and offered an immense experience from the industry leaders, professionals and experts.
