Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has officially opened its latest branch at the popular Mall of Qatar. The new state-of-the-art branch provides full-fledged personal banking and ATM services.
Commercial Bank officials formally inaugurated the new branch during a public launch ceremony attended by the Bank’s Chairman Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Jabor Al Thani; Vice Chairman Mr. Hussain Ibrahim Al Fardan; Managing Director Mr. Omar Hussain Al Fardan; CEO Mr. Joseph Abraham; Senior Bank Management, and a number of dignitaries and VIPs.
The branch opening follows a two-week campaign which included a competition and free vouchers. Members of the public who won a puzzle competition via Commercial Bank’s website also attended the launch event, as well as Mall of Qatar visitors.
Conveniently located at West Gate 3 entrance to the mall, the new branch provides extended banking hours for customers from 9am-2:30pm & 3:30pm-9pm (Saturday to Thursday) and 3:30pm-9pm (Friday).
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Commercial Bank CEO Joseph Abraham said: “Since the Bank opened its doors for business over 42 years ago, our branches have always been a strategic channel for us. Our goal is to enable our customers to bank in a simple, seamless and secure way across the channel of their choice at any time, anywhere. The launch of our Mall of Qatar branch demonstrates Commercial Bank’s commitment to meeting our customers’ needs at this prime location and is in line with the Bank’s strategic direction of building the ‘Best Bank in Qatar’ and being the ‘Qatari Bank of Choice’ through an enhanced client experience.”
Branches remain integral to how Commercial Bank delivers its services to customers. The Bank understands customers’ preferences for personal and face-to-face interactions with staff and Relationship Managers. At the same time, digital technology allows Commercial Bank customers to carry out everyday transactions online or via their mobile devices at their convenience, saving them time and allowing branch services to focus on their financial planning and more complex transactions. The new Mall of Qatar branch is part of the Bank’s strategic branch network that includes 30 full-service branches and 173 ATMs conveniently located across Qatar, in addition to the digital banking channels.
