Investment in specialized units for safe disposal of ammunition a priority
Abu Dhabi, UAE; 25 February 2015: Burkan Munitions Systems - part of Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDIC), has revealed it is increasing its product suite and service offering during its presence at the 2015 International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX).
Burkan has announced plans to create new production lines for the manufacture of additional Air Craft ammunition and the development of 40 mm shells.
Burkan is also set to complement their full ammunition lifecycle solutions, with plans to expand their specialized units for the safe disposal of damaged ammunition, and set up a centre to research all possibilities available for prolonging the shelf life of ammunition. The centre will be based in Abu Dhabi, at the Tawazun Industrial Park.
