Kuwait: To further solidify its position as a dynamic financial powerhouse, Burgan Bank selected five talented employees to undertake the responsibility of acquiring the skills to integrate an innovative culture within the bank. The Bank partnered with Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) in line with its steadfast strategy to foster transformative growth, and implement modern practices.
The Learning and Development department at Burgan Bank under the Human Resources Group leadership handpicked the members namely, Mr. Omar AL Halabi, Mr. Ahmed Al Rbean, Ms. Shurrooq Al Houly, Mr. Salem AL Qenaei, and Mr. Mohammed Bualiyan from various divisions, to ensure each bring value from a diversified banking perspective.
The ‘KFAS Innovation Challenge 2020’ which commenced in January 2020, brings the combined resources of the Wharton School’s Mack Institute of Innovation Management and the Penn Center for Innovation to the program. Leveraging outside resources, the participants gain industry insights and explore the themes of innovation. Participants work in teams on selected projects and at the end of the program, each of the teams will be requested to present to their companies.
The topics and activities include’ Business Model Innovation’, ‘Innovative Delivery Models’, an ‘ Innovation Tournament Workshop’ followed by visits to the Silicon Valley companies in the United States in April, where they meet successful innovators operating in business today, from start-ups to multinational firms.
