Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has honored 29 graduates who successfully completed the global management consulting firm’s prestigious Business Analyst (BA) Program. BCG’s BA Program is designed to help nurture young talents from leading Saudi universities in the GCC by providing the resources and knowledge required to support their career development. The initiative equips up-and-coming generations with the tools, knowledge, and leadership skills needed to excel in the field of strategy consulting and other key segments, providing a unique platform to accelerate professional progress.
Participants not only formulate an extensive understanding of the diverse skillsets fundamental to being successful in a global consultancy, but also the wider corporate landscape. The graduates were integrated into BCG teams concentrating on current projects and took part in a variety of informative and interactive training sessions as part of the specialized curriculum.
“On behalf of BCG, I am proud to congratulate the 2020 graduates of our BA Program,” said Cesar Sánchez, managing director and partner, BCG, who is the Chair of the BA Program. “Enabling young talent to demonstrate their potential in a professional environment and contribute to their personal and career development is extremely rewarding for all concerned parties. Drive, determination, and commitment are essential characteristics for future industry leaders, and it is a pleasure as manager of the career development aspect of the initiative to ensure we are successful in promoting and encouraging talent to apply these traits as they embark on their respective career paths.”
The program is held over a period of 12 months and includes first-hand experience on client work, training workshops, BCG’s online training platform, and an experienced career development advisor. In addition to elevating skillset and knowledge levels, the advanced modules approved by industry experts also provide graduates with unique opportunities to enhance their situational management skills through a number of learning sessions around strategic thinking, strategy development, leadership, and business awareness.
Faisal bin Mushari, BA graduate, said: “BCG’s Business Analyst Program has illustrated that pursuing an array of career development avenues is not beyond the realm of possibility with unique skillsets, strong behavioral traits, and relevant experience alongside world-class professionals. The initiative offered fascinating insights, hands-on training, and a platform to share our own ideas and contribute to the success of real-time projects. Looking ahead to my career in strategy consulting, I will approach each and every task with enhanced confidence thanks to the experience I have culminated over the past year.”
Each business analyst is assigned a career development advisor, who guides them through every stage of the program and provides support through three review cycles with BCG’s Career Development Committee. Moreover, the initiative’s rotation policy across a range of BCG teams empowers graduates to harness their potential, showcase their capabilities, and define their own career path across various segments.
Reema Alyousef, BA graduate, added: “At the early stages of one’s professional career, advice from experts who have amassed years of experience is extremely important. Prior to beginning the BA Program, I was relishing the opportunity to work with BCG’s consulting teams while innovating and making a noticeable impact. Through their encouragement and guidance, I am ready to embark upon my career in strategy consulting and take consecutive steps on the path towards becoming a future leader.”
