Doha, Qatar: Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has announced the opening of registration on the "SnooMart" platform through the "Snoonu" application, one of the most prominent integrated applications in town for providing food delivery and a variety of services that are aimed at meeting the daily needs of consumers.
Thanks to the collaboration between Bedaya Center and Snoonu, the new platform “SnooMart” will be available for entrepreneurs to sell their products. Subscription will be free for start-ups and small enterprises affiliated with Bedaya, in addition to providing a free storage space of 1 sq.m. for each project, noting that the “SnooMart” will only get 15% of all sales.
Through the “SnooMart” platform, SMEs will be able to showcase their products in 27 different categories ranging from food, beverages, snacks, sweets, chocolates & biscuits, coffee & tea, ice cream, breakfast, spices, skin care products and many others.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Abdulla Faleh Al Saeed - Board Member and General Manager of Bedaya Center, said, “Today we start a new phase for developing and empowering entrepreneurs and small & medium enterprises, through which we strive to provide a new channel for marketing and delivering their products through the “SnooMart” platform.”
“This initiative comes as a continuation of the close co-operation with "Snoonu". As the trusted partners, we have worked together in driving various strategic solutions to benefit entrepreneurs by presenting their products online, especially in the light of the current circumstances, which led to the suspension of a number of activities and events that were considered as important selling platforms for these projects. With an aim to prevent and limit the spread of the Coronavirus, the "SnooMart" platform works as a suitable alternative that provides the convenience and safety of shopping at home,” he added.
It is noteworthy that there are a set of terms and conditions for participating in the "SnooMart" platform from "Snoonu", such as the prices of the products should be compatible with the prices of the hypermarkets. All the participating businesses must have active commercial registration, and the project should not be more than 3 years old, in addition to the commitment to the products’ delivery/receiving dates.
