Sharjah: Bukhatir Education Advancement and Management (BEAM) celebrated the excellence of its inspiring teachers and staff members at the annual Nujoom, ‘The Night of Stars’ Awards on March 28. This prestigious event exemplifies BEAM’s dedication in recognizing the efforts and commitment of the teachers and staff who are helping educate the future leaders of the UAE.
Now in its third year, the Nujoom awards celebrate transformational teaching and mark the achievements of more than 1,500 educators and staff. The awards acknowledge these exemplary individuals for their numerous endeavours in reimagining the concepts of ‘teaching’ and ‘learning’ in new and innovative ways. They honour these efforts as well as the outstanding teachers, highlighting how vital success in education is to the betterment of a society. By making notable changes in the lives of the students, these exceptional teachers, principals, headteachers and teaching assistants and BEAM admin and support staff help inspire and motivate students to aim high and achieve their potential.
The event honoured individuals across 30 diverse categories with accolades such as ‘Most Dynamic Principal’, ‘Most Inspiring Leader’, ‘Go Green Crew’, ‘Creative Scientist’. They were bestowed to educators and support staff from across all of BEAM’s schools.
The most prestigious award for ‘The Educator of the Year’, was won by Umme Salma Patel from ISCS And Al Sheba. She was awarded this prize for the dedication, positivity and discipline that she brings to her work, and her willingness to engage her peers and parents to ensure exceptional outcomes for her students. Umme is also a leader, helping inspire her team of educators for Years 3 and 4 with integrity, inclusiveness and fairness.
Speaking at the event, Salah Bukhatir, Chairman and CEO of BEAM, said: “This event is BEAM’s platform to thank and acknowledge the dedication of all our educators and staff.
