BankDhofar supports CBFS initiatives to enrich students' knowledge & share expertise in the local and global banking and finance sector.

Extending its support and contribution to the financial sector in the Sultanate, BankDhofar recently sponsored and participated in the Annual Open Day at the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS). The event was part of the college's framework to further enhance and develop the banking and financial studies within the higher education domain.

Inaugurated by Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, Acting CEO of BankDhofar, the event took place at the college premises and was attended by faculty members, students, senior officials and high profile guests from various organisations.

Commenting on the event, Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, Acting CEO of BankDhofar, noted: "Our sponsorship and participation in this event comes as part of our strategic partnership with CBFS. Our joint efforts aim to promote high quality education in the banking and finance specialisations, as well as effective training and occupational development across the financial sector."

"This is a great opportunity for us to show support to CBFS initiatives and to contribute to the development of the sector through such events and activities," he added.

The event included a wide array of activities such as talent competitions, theatre shows, musical performances, art and painting, press coverage, entertaining games, folklore and traditional dances, Omani village, poetry, Omani food, fashion show, and many other stimulating activities where CBFS students engaged and participated.

Established in 1983, the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) provides education and training to bankers and encourages research in the banking and finance field. The college offers academic and training courses that are tailor-made for the emerging needs of the banking sector in Oman, suitably preparing students for career opportunities in the fields of banking, finance and economic research.

BankDhofar's long-term strategic partnership with CBFS shows the strong commitment by the bank to the growth of education and development programmes in the Sultanate. The bank also supports various initiatives by the college, enriching students' knowledge and sharing expertise in the local and global banking and finance sector.
