Manama – Bahrain: Bank ABC has announced the appointment of Mr. Ismail Mokhtar as Group Chief Operating Officer and Ms. Fatema Yusuf as Group Head of Corporate Communications at its Head Office in Bahrain. Both Mr. Mokhtar and Ms. Yusuf will report directly to the Deputy Group CEO, Mr. Sael Al Waary.

Ismail Mokhtar has had a number of senior roles with the Bank for over two decades. He served Bank ABC in Tunisia as the Deputy General Manager before moving to the Head Office in Bahrain as Business Catalyst, Group Chief Operating Officer’s Office in 2015. He was appointed Regional MENA COO in May 2018. In his new role, Mr. Mokhtar will focus on the Group Support Functions with the most significant impact on the Bank’s operational resilience across the Group and support the implementation of ABC’s strategic plan in expanding its activities.

Fatema Yusuf is an accomplished strategic communications expert who joined Bank ABC in 2013. She has advanced through progressively more responsible positions within the function, spearheading a number of strategic projects. As the Group Head of Corporate Communications, Fatema Yusuf will oversee all strategic internal and external communications including brand, marketing, media and public relations across the Bank ABC Group.
